Mythbusters THE MYTHBUSTERS CONCEPT Bowvayne is the originator of a team called the Mythbusters.
The team of adventurers investigate myths and mysteries all over the
world including ghosts, monsters, UFOs and buried treasure. However,
as Bow explains, "We'll search for anything that requires further
explanation." They've investigated urban myths such as frogs raining
from the sky, looked for a missing helicoptor, and even recaptured escaped
exotic pets! They captured the popular imagination themselves in the mid-90s with huge book sales, a thriving fan club, and a book published by the celebrated UK children's imprint, Puffin Books, entitled "Mythbusters - Real-Life Adventures In The World Of The Supernatural". They made regular appearances on UK Channel 4’s “The Big Breakfast”, ‘Mythbusting’ before a live audience, making Bowvayne an instantly recognisable face there. The Mythbusters have investigated haunted castles in Ireland, gigantic birds of prey in the Indian Ocean, California’s Bigfoot, UFOs in the Australian desert, real-life vampires in Java and over two hundred more recorded cases. Bowvayne’s main accomplices over the years have
been Chris Strange, researcher and ‘worry-wart’. There’s
Emily Knightingale; the brilliant photographer. Then there’s Ian
Digweed; the self-confessed coward who drives all manner of vehicles
for the team. Finally, there’s Mattie Deal (who recently changed
his name to Mattie Zander) who actually spotted a spectral wolf in Clapham
Wood (UK) several years ago, and reported it to Mythbusters. Soon afterwards
he was asked to join the team! |
