Bowvayne's Music MOLTEN - THE ALBUM Bow provides lead vocal to the songs written by himself and Bruce Harley, with additional contributions from dance music icon Mobin Master and Matt Zander on the remixes. Some of Australia’s finest musical talent features on “Molten”, most notably the incomparable Joe Camilleri (Jo Jo Zep & the Falcons/The Black Sorrows/The Revelators), who plays a breathtaking array of instruments, and also acted as producer. Recorded at Camilleri’s Woodstock Studios, “Molten” is a diverse mix of rock tracks (“Hot For You”, “Black Blood”, “Love the Fire”, “Smiling Social Climber”), solemnly beautiful ballads (“Womb Garden” and “Tomb”), playfulness, particularly in “Smiling Social Climber”, even 21stC glam (“Lady of Ice”). There’s the hint of the nascent relationship between Bow and musician George Harrison in “Black Blood” and “Lost”. (Listen to Joe Camilleri’s inspired saxophone solo in “Lost”, by the way). The words of the verses of “Hot For You” (surely destined to be a hit) are infused with Celtic mythology, and the beautifully insane “Who’s Waiting on the Other Side?”, with the lyric speculating about life, the universe and everything, also highly original. Although most of the album was finished some time ago, its release was held back for reasons that will be explained on this website at a future date. This is the first time the album MOLTEN and its single and remix have ever been available to the public. For every paid download or CD sale, Bow is making a donation to the wonderful organisation Touch the Sky. The purpose of this organisation is to provide all the equipment and services for Interactive Secure Video Communication for therapy and palliative care in the home for those with special needs and limited life (www.touchthesky.uk.com). A theme album with short pieces of linking narration, it is his most ambitious project to date, whether literary or musical. This time collaborating with talented composers Jim Eldritch on many of the songs, and Matt Zander on others, four songs are already completed. A spectacular series of concerts are planned at the
completion of the latest album, to showcase the songs.
